The End of My Interest Towards Project Sekai Merch
Yesterday, besides of big YouTube history purge, I also removed some of my room's wall decoration. During my time of unhealthily active in Project Sekai community, most vocal members would hype about newly released merchandise from the game's company. Even, hunting on Japanese secondhand site for old ones, as long they can build a shrine for their favorite character. Mind you, I think some of these official merchs are lazy because they keep repurposing the same art (my stance: if I can download PNG of it, why bother?). Maybe Project Sekai players are deep in hellhole because they want social status—I am most devoted fan of this generic anime character. This is not an exaggeration because they would spend days, playing same song over and over again, purchasing in-game currency with real hard-earned money, just for some profile decoration. (I'm talking about tiering)
Going on tangents.. anyway, yeah that's some background information. I had Project Sekai uninstalled for over a year, then why only now I get rid of physical traces? Sunk cost fallacy, mostly. First, I have 5 fuwappuchis.. actually, 8, but I sent 2 dolls to my online friends, and then destroyed the other.

In different variation, of course. Due Japanese currency being stronger than my country's, it's pretty expensive. But I've seen complain from US fans about the same thing, so I can safely assume the dolls are overpriced. What I realize just now is, how enticing the look of innocent face (•‿•) in online shopping preview, but after you receive the package, it will turn into just.. ordinary stuff. SEGA really weaponize impulsive buyer's wishful thinking.
The other thing I put on my wall is More More Jump's A4 Clear File, in collaboration with Lawson. Colorful and striking, immediately drawing attention when you see it in person.

Amongst 2024 lineup, More More Jump version is my second favorite.. the first one is Wondershow's, but I'm allergic to that group's fandom. The artist definitely had poured effort (and love?) into the artwork, unlike.. some horrendous one, namely Vivid Bad Squad version. Yeah it's good, but comparing with MMJ and Wondershow side by side, VBS's poses are stiff as hell. More accurately, it's mid if the purpose was to bait their hardcore buyer.
Well. Yeah. Project Sekai. Time to move on from it.
